Jevene Wright of Bridgeport was arrested Monday, April 23, following an investigation into a report of embezzlement at Partyka Chevrolet, at 200 Skiff St., last November, said Capt. Ronald Smith.
The Investigation, conducted by Det. Scott Levenduski revealed that while working as the finance manager at the dealership Wright would have customers provide him with cash or personal checks to make purchases, Smith said.
Wright would instruct customers to leave the “pay to the order” portion of their checks blank. He would then “fill in his name” and deposit the proceeds into his personal bank account, Smith added.
He was charged with first-degree larceny and held on $25,000 court-ordered bond.
